Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a GIS professional to map and analyze Hydro Energy’s environmental and social footprint using ArcGIS and QGIS, and to identify mitigation opportunities across current and proposed projects.

The role involves compiling national environmental data, providing strategic GIS insights, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including Hydro summer interns.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in geography, natural resource management, biology, geomatics, environmental engineering or a related field.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in geography, natural resource management, biology, geomatics, environmental engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
• Extracurricular activities and volunteer work considered advantageous
• Experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS or similar is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to collaborate well in interdisciplinary teams
• Relevant academic transcripts, diplomas, certificates, and more must be included with the application
