Job summary

Hydro Energy invites motivated master's students to join our Energy Markets and Asset Intelligence team in Oslo or Stavanger for a summer internship. You will work with data, analytical tools, and real business challenges, gaining hands-on experience within Hydro’s energy portfolio.

You'll perform market analysis, develop dashboards, and support trading and optimization initiatives, under guidance from experienced colleagues, while learning about contracts, security of supply, and energy

Qualifications

• Master studies in a technical field related to energy and data analysis.
• Familiarity with KQL, SQL and Python is advantageous.
• Based in Oslo or Stavanger and eligible for an internship.

Job description

Hydro Energy has more than 100 years of experience in the production of renewable energy. Today, we are one of the three largest operators of hydropower production in Norway and a large power market player in the Nordic region and Brazil. We are responsible for developing new business opportunities and providing support to Hydro’s business areas on contracts, security of supply, and energy framework conditions.

Energy Markets and Asset Intelligence play an important role in maximizing the value of Hydro's energy portfolio and power assets. Through market analysis, optimization, analytics, and digital solutions, we support better decision-making and contribute to Hydro's industrial ambitions and the green transition. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to work with data, analytical tools, and real business challenges within Hydro Energy.
