Job summary

MaineHealth Stephens Hospital in Norway, Maine, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgeon and OR RN during procedures. This role features a $15,000 sign-on for experienced CSTs and a $3,000 sign-on for new grads, with eligibility for applicable Maine/NH licensure within 6 months.

The position requires graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology, BCLS certification, and NBSTSA credentialing. Rural hospital setting with dedicated care teams.

Summary

The Surgical Technologist role assists the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
• License/Certifications: Current BCLS and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within 6 months of start date. Positions located in New Hampshire are required to have a New Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification.
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $27.27to $36.88 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
