Job summary

Norsk Hydro invites you to an internship with Logistics Operations in the Aluminium Metal Commercial unit. You will contribute to digitalization efforts, automate processes, and develop managerial dashboards using Power BI, SharePoint and Power Automate.

We welcome master's students in SCM, Engineering, or Business Administration who are curious, self-driven and analytical, with an interest in digital tools. Expect hands-on projects and collaboration with Hydro teams in Canada and abroad.

• Experienced in, or motivated to become expert in SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI

Job description

Logistics, part of the Aluminium Metal (AM) Commercial business unit, works as a strategic and operational service provider for key functions within AM such as Product Areas, Strategic Sourcing, and Primary Production. The Logistics Operations department is responsible for the coordination of the transport of inbound and outbound products, making sure raw materials are available and finished goods are delivered on time. Logistics Operations is embarking into a journey of digitalization to improve efficiency, with the aim of automating processes and communications with stakeholders, improving managerial and operational dashboards.

The Commercial Logistics Operations teams are based at both the offices in Vækerø and at the Karmøy plant. Every year our interns travel to Karmøy to see the plant and port, as well as meet the team members who are based there.
