Job summary

Cognite is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director for our Supply Chain Center of Excellence. You will drive growth by winning new supply chain business within territory-headquartered accounts, acting as a subject-matter expert to help customers transform their value chain using Cognite Applications and the Cognite Data Fusion Platform.

Responsibilities include developing territory strategy, generating pipeline, leading cross-functional deal teams, and building ROI-based business cases

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing and broader industrial supply chain environment.
• 7+ years of direct or in-support sales experience, selling enterprise software/SaaS to C-level executives, Management and operations.
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding SaaS bookings goals in direct / partner / channel-based sales models.
• Prior experience in high-growth startup environments (Series A, B, or C).
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted territory strategy to accelerate bookings growth and secure high-impact supply chain clients.
• Actively prospect and leverage your network to generate pipeline and provide ROI-based commercial insights.
• Lead extended territory teams through complex enterprise sales cycles to exceed bookings targets.
• Quantify ROI and present compelling business cases to enterprise executives.
• Work with partners to qualify and progress their pipeline and drive joint engagements on qualified opportunities.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with C-level executives, demonstrating long-term strategic value of Cognite’s solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to feed market insights back into product strategy.
• Forecast monthly/quarterly bookings and maintain up-to-date account records in Salesforce.com.
