Job summary

Mercury GmbH is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Kristiansand. You will manage pricing, cost control and subcontractor payments to secure project profitability and maintain rigorous paper trails.

With 3-5 years in QS roles and excellent Excel skills, you will review contracts, prepare interim applications, and mentor graduates while collaborating with clients and main contractors on cost plans and variations.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or relevant industry experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a QS role.
• Strong understanding of work contracts.
• Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical packages.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Professional negotiation with clients.
• Proficient in Excel.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review subcontract documentation for compliance.
• Price Mechanical and Electrical tenders.
• Measure and price contract variations.
• Prepare monthly interim applications.
• Issue notices and evaluate loss/expense claims.
• Provide fast, accurate, profitable estimates.
• Coordinate with client, main contractor and departments.
• Measure site progress weekly and track productivity.
• Forecast cash flow and manage subcontractor accounts.
• Mentor QS team and graduates.
• Identify trends and report on project performance.
• Forecast package cash flow and improve processes.
• Carry out other duties as required.
