Job summary

MDE Norway in Bergen is seeking a qualified supply chain professional to manage purchase orders, conduct market screening, and perform commercial evaluations within the oil and gas sector. You will work closely with engineering to prepare inquiries and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities include monitoring delivery, handling variations and risks, and driving improvements to reduce costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar.
Minimum 3 years’ experience within supply chain management in Oil & Gas.
Commercial awareness is essential.
Professional and independent team player.
Strong oral and written communication in Norwegian and English.
Willingness to adapt to changes and collaborate well.
Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Issue and follow-up on purchase orders with emphasis on cost reduction and value creation.
Conduct market screening to identify cost-effective suppliers and solutions.
Prepare inquiry documents for equipment and services with engineering.
Perform commercial evaluations of quotations.
Monitor delivery within agreed timeframe, cost, and quality.
Handle risks, deviations, and invoice processing.
Ensure compliance with guidelines, work instructions and procedures.
Continuously work on improvements to reduce risks and costs and strengthen collaboration.
