Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff AI Engineer based in Norway to shape and deliver high-impact AI initiatives. You will lead production-ready AI solutions, guide architectural choices, and strengthen the shared AI platform across cross-functional teams.

You will own major AI projects from design to deployment, elevate AI quality, and influence engineering standards while balancing latency, security, and cost. This role offers high autonomy and meaningful impact on real customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex AI initiatives as a hands-on IC.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade LLM applications or AI agents.
• Strong ability to influence architectural decisions and set engineering standards.
• Proven track record building AI evaluation frameworks with automated testing and human feedback.
• Understanding of AI agent architecture, tool design, and orchestration.
• Backend/platform expertise with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, async workers, and REST/GraphQL.
• Ability to design scalable shared AI infrastructure with well-defined interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of major AI initiatives.
• Contribute to production AI systems from the outset, improving architecture and workflows.
• Improve AI quality, reliability, and performance with measurable enhancements.
• Own major AI projects from architecture to deployment and optimization.
• Define architectural decisions across teams, especially AI architecture and shared platform infra.
• Establish scalable AI quality frameworks, evaluations, guardrails, and production monitoring.
• Design and implement reliable AI agents and tool integrations balancing deterministic code and LLMs.
• Drive engineering initiatives to improve development quality and velocity, including docs and reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Operations, and engineering to meet business needs.
• Promote engineering excellence through mentorship and clear standards.
