Job summary

SPERTON - Where Great People Meet seeks a Senior SAS Engineer in Stavanger to lead design, integration, and verification of Safety and Automation Systems in a brownfield EPCI framework.

You will drive adherence to NCS and NORSOK standards, manage interfaces across teams, and oversee FAT/test activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelors: 8+ years experience, OR Technical College: 12+ years, OR Vocational: 18+ years.
• Strong experience with NCS, NORSOK standards, and North Sea brownfield modifications.
• Experience with TIME, Visio, SAP, MIPS.
• Prior experience with Aker Solutions or COPNO projects preferred.

• Lead SAS design, integration, and verification for process, utility, and electrical systems.
• Perform independent checking and verification of discipline deliverables.
• Coordinate with vendors, review technical docs, and participate in FAT/test activities.

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAS Engineer for one of our client's to join a long-term Brownfield EPCI framework agreement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). You will act as a technical pillar within the project, ensuring that all automation designs are robust, safe, and in full compliance with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) standards.

• Duration: Long-term contract (Through April 2029)

Role Responsibilities

• Lead SAS system design, integration, and verification for process, utility, and electrical systems (FS, SCD, HMI, F&G, C&E, ESD/PSD Block logic).
• Perform independent checking and verification of discipline deliverables to ensure top quality.
• Follow up package vendors, review technical documentation, and participate in FAT/test activities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces and ensure smooth technical alignment across engineering teams.
