Job description

We’re working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation that helps major businesses and public sector clients transform their operations through innovative digital solutions.

With a strong focus on enterprise platforms, cloud technology, automation and emerging AI capabilities, the organisation delivers complex technology programmes for some of the world’s largest and most established organisations.

Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a hands-on ServiceNow Developer to join their expanding team in Oslo. This is an opportunity for an early-career developer to work on meaningful client projects, develop their technical expertise and collaborate with experienced specialists in a highly technical, international environment.

Please note: Norwegian citizenship is essential for this position, and candidates must be willing to undergo the relevant security clearance process or already hold an appropriate clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • ServiceNow Development: Design, develop and configure applications, workflows and platform solutions using ServiceNow best practices.
  • Scripting and Automation: Work hands-on with ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer and workflow automation to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • CMDB and CSDM: Configure and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), improve data quality and support the implementation of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards.
  • Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using Integration Hub, APIs and related technologies.
  • Platform Administration: Support platform stability, performance, configuration and ongoing optimisation.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve platform issues, provide technical support and implement continuous improvements.
  • Client Collaboration: Work with technical teams and clients to understand requirements and translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, development and platform changes.
  • Continuous Development: Keep up to date with new ServiceNow capabilities, platform releases and emerging enterprise technology trends.
Essential Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building, configuring and improving technology rather than working solely in a functional or advisory capacity.

  • 2–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, ideally gained in a professional or client-facing environment.
  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications are essential. The most relevant include:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Relevant specialist certifications in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, ITAM, SecOps, HR Service Delivery or CRM.
  • Good understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its core capabilities and CMDB architecture.
  • Practical experience with scripting, workflows, Flow Designer and platform configuration.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs and Integration Hub.
  • Understanding of CMDB data structures, CSDM principles and service mapping.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow self-hosted or self-managed environments is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a related discipline is beneficial, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Security Requirements
  • Norwegian citizenship is mandatory.
  • Must be eligible and willing to undergo the security clearance process required for the assignment, or already hold a relevant security clearance.
  • Must be comfortable working on projects where security, confidentiality and compliance are key priorities.
What’s on Offer?
  • Technically challenging projects: Contribute to large-scale enterprise technology programmes for major international and public sector organisations.
  • Professional development: Access to structured learning, technical training and opportunities to gain further ServiceNow certifications.
  • Career progression: Develop your expertise alongside experienced ServiceNow professionals and build a long-term career in enterprise platform engineering.
  • Exposure to emerging technology: Work in an environment where automation, AI and advanced digital solutions are increasingly important.
  • International collaboration: Join a diverse community of technology specialists working across complex client engagements.
  • Hybrid working: Benefit from a hybrid working arrangement based in Oslo.
