Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Service Technician based in Kristiansund to install, maintain and repair lifting and handling equipment for the maritime industry. You will ensure safe operation and comply with safety standards.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and document inspections, collaborating with customers and colleagues while traveling extensively (150+ days per year) to service equipment across sites.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or professional education in a technical field.
• Relevant professional experience in technical maintenance, repair or service.
• Ability to read, understand and apply technical specifications for installation, maintenance and repair.
• Good knowledge of fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Good communication and willingness to travel (150+ days).

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment per specifications, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to extend service life and minimize downtime.
• Perform quality and safety checks after service and repairs.
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues, documenting maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
