Job summary

Witted Mavericks is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Oslo to work on mission-critical projects for clients across defense, energy, medtech, automotive, fintech and public sector. Join a growing team with a freelancer-like compensation and the security of an employee model.

Qualifications

Senior Software Developer

• Fair compensation: We offer 51% of your billing as gross salary (typically NOK 90–100k/month).

About the role

We are looking for experienced developers with 5+ years of experience to join our growing team in Norway.

We don't expect you to be an expert in everything below, but we are seeking deep professional experience in one or several of our core stacks and a solid understanding of the surrounding ecosystem:

• Backend: C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Angular (2.0+), Next.js, Vue.js, Svelte, CSS, Tailwind

• DevOps and CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, GitLab

• Databases: SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

• Cloud services: Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), AWS

• Tools and methodologies: Docker, Git, Scrum, Jira, Confluence

• Architecture: Software Architecture and System Design

What we hope from you

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Fluency in both Norwegian and English

• Readiness to work in a hybrid model depending on the client’s needs (min. 4 days/month from our Oslo office or a client’s site in the Oslo area).

Many of our projects are mission‑critical for Norway’s infrastructure and security. Therefore, it is a plus if you are eligible for a Norwegian security clearance.
