Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to become the technical backbone of our product. You will own the hardest PRs, ship production code across the entire product, and eventually reduce the CEO's technical load. This is a hands-on, high-trust role with no management duties.

Qualifications

• Many years of Ruby on Rails experience and production Rails apps.
• Experience with Stripe billing, subscriptions, webhooks is required.
• Strong problem solving, architecture thinking, and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardest PRs, including complex features and performance-critical code.
• Review other engineers' PRs and mentor through code review.
• Build enterprise features such as SAML, SCIM, audit logs, permissions.
• Work on billing and payments with Stripe integrations and subscription logic.
• Create and iterate on product features including API playground and developer experience.
• Develop in-house algorithms and optimize performance.
