Job summary

Fortica is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own large data centre projects across Norway, including Narvik, Kristiansand and Fyresdal. You will lead the project from mobilisation to close-out, managing safety, time, cost and client relationships in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' experience as a Project Manager in construction, data centres, critical infrastructure, energy, industry or other complex technical projects
• Proven delivery of large multi-discipline projects with many subcontractors and stakeholders
• Strong experience with budget responsibility, cost control, forecasting, planning, risk management and reporting
• Good understanding of technical building systems and commissioning
• Knowledge of HSE / QHSE and systematic handling of deviations
• Professional English, spoken and written. Norwegian is a strong advantage
• A degree in engineering, construction management or project management is a plus
• PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or similar certification is a plus
• Experience from data centres, critical facilities or fit-out and building envelope work is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the project from mobilisation to close-out and final handover
• Build and follow up the master schedule, milestones and RFS dates
• Plan resources and manage risks, deviations and corrective actions
• Approve site execution plans and recovery plans when the project is behind
• Agree the commissioning plan with the client and own the contractual completion
• Lead steering meetings and status reporting to the client and senior management
• Coordinate the client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities
• Make sure the project follows HSE requirements, the SHA plan, client standards and company policies
• Build and lead the project leadership team, and set clear priorities and responsibilities
• Approve resource and rotation plans, and decide on recruitment of site leaders
• Develop your senior site managers toward project leadership
• Lead final handover, close-out and lessons learned
