Job summary

IKM in Stavanger seeks a skilled process engineer for a one-year assignment from October 2026 to October 2027. You will verify operating procedures, optimize production, and support the operations and project teams with process expertise.

Requirements include a Master of Science, 5+ years in oil and gas, hands-on operations, and proficiency in Hysys/UniSim, with English and Norwegian fluency. Travel offshore and a full-time schedule in Stavanger are expected.

Qualifications

Master of Science in a relevant discipline.
5+ years' oil and gas experience; other experience considered.
Operations experience preferred.
Experience with process simulation tools such as Hysys/UniSim.
Good knowledge of Norwegian and International Standards.
Offshore travel is desirable.
Fluent in English and Norwegian (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Verification of operating procedures.
Production optimization and debottlenecking of the facility.
Support operations and project teams with process competence; EQ and MOC.
Participate in risk assessments such as Hazop / LOPA / SORA, barrier mapping, and root cause analysis (5-Why).
Input to the development of digital solutions and tools to improve ways of working.
