Job summary

Ikm Gruppen AS is seeking a process engineer to lead design and engineering activities for projects in Stavanger. The role involves developing PFDs and P&IDs, simulations, and sizing of equipment to meet project specs.

You will participate in safety reviews (HAZOP/LOPA/SIL) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions. A one-year assignment with full-time duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience as a process engineer in energy, oil and gas preferred.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver engineering work packages.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform process design and engineering activities for projects.
• Develop and update PFDs and P&IDs.
• Conduct process simulations, calculations and equipment sizing.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations and project specs.
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments.
• Provide technical support to operations, commissioning and construction teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, datasheets and engineering documentation.
