Job summary

IKM Gruppen AS in Stavanger seeks a process engineer for a one-year assignment from October 2026 to October 2027. You will verify operating procedures and help optimize production and debottlenecking across the facility.

The role requires MSc in a relevant discipline, 5+ years in oil and gas, and strong experience with operations, process simulation tools (Hysys/UniSim), and risk assessments such as Hazop/LOPA/SORA. Offshore travel may be required.

Qualifications

• MSc in a relevant discipline is required.
• Experience in oil and gas operations is essential.
• Strong knowledge of process simulation tools (Hysys/UniSim).
• Experience with risk assessments (Hazop/LOPA/SORA) and MOC is preferred.
• Ability to travel offshore is desirable.

Job description

• -Verification of operating procedures.
• -Production optimization and debottlenecking of the facility.
• -Support operations team and project team with process competence. Contribute to engineering and technical queries (EQ) and Management of Change (MOC)
• -Participate in risk assessments such as Hazop / LOPA / SORA, barrier mapping, and root cause analysis (5-Why).
• -Give input to the development of digital solutions and tools to improve ways of working?.

Required expertise

• -Master of Science in relevant discipline
• -Preferably 5+ years' work experience within oil and gas (Less experience Will also be considered)
• -Experience from operations
• -Experience with process simulation tools such as Hysys / UniSim
• -Good knowledge of relevant requirements, Norwegian and International Standards
• -It is desirable that you are able to travel offshore in this position
• Language: Fluent abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
• Location: Stavanger
• Work schedule: Full-time
• Duration: This is a one-year assignment from October 2026 to October 2027.
