Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Minimum of three years coding, clinical or billing experience.
• Knowledge of CMS, AMA, and AHA coding and billing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs final reconciliation on clinic/provider visits and resolves missing or inconsistent documentation.
• Reviews, abstracts, and codes multiple or sub specialty services and complex cases.
• Interacts with coding staff, business office, providers, and hospital staff on billing issues.
• Researches and resolves high volume accounts, complex or escalated suspended claims and compliance issues.
