Qualifications

• Verifiable completion of one of: EMT course; Medical Assistant experience in ambulatory care; Medical Assisting education program; University Hospital Medical Assistant certification program.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with routine clerical functions and charting in patient records.
• Perform CLIA Waived lab tests as identified by the department and report results.
• Assist with injections, suture removal, and other basic patient care tasks under supervision.
