Job summary

Nscale is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee all mechanical system delivery for hyperscale data centre projects in Norway. You will manage design coordination through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, performance, and quality standards are met while integrating with electrical and controls teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience managing mechanical delivery, including data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian advantageous.
• Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all mechanical construction activities, ensuring works meet design intent, schedule, and technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, statutory requirements, applicable standards, and HSE regulations relevant to the project location
• Review and validate design drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for constructability and compliance.
• Manage on-site interfaces between mechanical systems and other disciplines (Electrical, Controls, CSA)
• Monitor and report on progress, identify risks, and support schedule recovery planning across all mechanical packages, ensuring visibility and alignment across the wider delivery team.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, and testing throughout installation and commissioning phases.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and ensure complete verification and documentation of mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
• Promote a culture of safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
