Job summary

Nscale is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee all mechanical system delivery for hyperscale data centre projects in Norway. You will manage the technical execution from design through handover, ensuring safety, performance, and quality standards while integrating with other building systems.

The role requires 7+ years in mechanical delivery within data centres or mission-critical projects, a relevant engineering degree, and strong communication and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience managing mechanical delivery, including within data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, liquid cooling, and mechanical controls.
• Proven experience in coordinating design, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiar with project reporting and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all mechanical construction activities, ensuring works meet design intent, schedule, and technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, statutory requirements, applicable standards, and HSE regulations relevant to the project location
• Review and validate design drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for constructability and compliance.
• Manage on-site interfaces between mechanical systems and other disciplines (Electrical, Controls, CSA)
• Monitor and report on progress, identify risks, and support schedule recovery planning across all mechanical packages, ensuring visibility and alignment across the wider delivery team.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, and testing throughout installation and commissioning phases.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and ensure complete verification and documentation of mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
• Promote a culture of safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
