Job summary

Emerald Nuclear Norway AS is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team near Ålesund. You will help develop, test and build maritime Gen IV nuclear power systems based on gas-cooled reactor technology, contributing to prototype development and system integration.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering and at least 10 years in mechanical/systems engineering, with 5 years in materials or mechanical production.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical/systems engineering, thermodynamics, or material engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in materials or mechanical production.
• Experience with digital control systems or sensor networks is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Creating, testing and improving reactor system parts and solutions.
• Design and build test environments for different parts.
• Take part in building the complete nuclear power system with test facilities, and perform the testing required.
