Emerald Nuclear Norway AS is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team near Ålesund. You will help develop, test and build maritime Gen IV nuclear power systems based on gas-cooled reactor technology, contributing to prototype development and system integration.
The role requires a Master or Bachelor in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering and at least 10 years in mechanical/systems engineering, with 5 years in materials or mechanical production.

About the position:
We are looking for you to be part of a growing team of motivated colleagues to develop, test and build our maritime Gen IV nuclear power systems to power future ships. You will contribute to build the first prototype of a complete marine nuclear power system based on our gas-cooled reactor technology. A significant part of the work is preparing, producing, testing and improving the different components in the system, while at the same time building the complete power system test rig and demonstrating this in a moving environment. We are looking for a strong personal interest in the topic and a drive to create safe and sustainable solutions for tomorrow. You will report to the Head of Engineering & Testing - Norway.
