Job summary
Kongsberg Maritime in Lysaker is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Advanced Marine Operations (AMO) department. You will lead complex engineering projects, ensure high technical standards, and mentor junior engineers while driving innovation in modeling, simulation, and digital tools.
AMO delivers real-time decision support for drilling and marine operations, with growth into offshore wind concepts and international assignments.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in engineering or the sciences.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in offshore or marine engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, data analysis, and simulation tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino, Autodesk, or similar 3D modeling tools.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute engineering projects in AMO from planning through delivery.
- Perform advanced modeling and simulation of marine systems.
- Develop and implement digital tools and data-driven processes.
- Provide technical input for tenders and client communication.
- Support offshore operations and participate in international project assignments.
