Job summary

Wärtsilä seeks a Senior Integration Engineer to take technical ownership of integrated electrical system solutions for large marine projects. The role is based in Stord, Norway, with the possibility of hybrid work and close collaboration across internal and external teams.

You will lead engineering delivery, manage interfaces, verify performance, and ensure compliance with contracts and standards while reviewing technical documents and guiding less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with complex electrical systems in project-based settings.
• Experience with system integration and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Ability to read and approve electrical drawings and specifications.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of integrated electrical system solutions in large and demanding marine projects.
• Lead engineering delivery and coordinate work across disciplines, products and partners.
• Define, manage and verify system interfaces, integration requirements and functional performance.
• Ensure technical solutions comply with contracts, specifications, rules and standards.
• Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, calculations and specs.
• Identify risks, resolve issues and drive decisions with stakeholders.
• Plan and support design reviews, FAT, commissioning and troubleshooting, and mentor engineers.
