Job summary

Nexans Norway AS is seeking a Senior/Specialist Marine Installation Analysis Engineer to join the Cable Laying team. You will perform installation analysis for HV subsea cables, automate workflows, and support marine operations globally.

The role requires a degree in marine/offshore/ocean technology or naval architecture and 2+ years of marine experience; knowledge of OrcaFlex and Python automation is preferred. Flexible work options and international mobility are offered.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in marine/offshore/ocean technology or naval architecture.
2+ years of experience in marine operations or offshore installation.
Knowledge of OrcaFlex or similar time-domain analysis tools.
Programming skills in Python or similar for scripting and automation.
Experience developing and maintaining web applications is an advantage.
Familiarity with design codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Perform installation analysis for high voltage subsea cables.
Automate analysis workflows and develop internal tools.
Support marine operations across project phases with focus on detailed engineering.
Collaborate with project engineers to refine procedures and task plans.
Interface with clients and third parties on technical matters.
Potential offshore assignments onboard vessels.
