Job summary
NACOS Marine in Drammen is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our automation service organization. You will be responsible for programming, commissioning, servicing, and supporting Integrated Alarm & Control Systems (IAS/IAMCS) and SCADA solutions for marine applications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Solid hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, SCADA solutions, and PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across automation software, electronics, computers, and industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning, service, refits, upgrades, FAT/HAT, and sea trial support for marine automation systems worldwide.
- Develop, modify, and standardize PLC and SCADA software, both in-house and onboard vessels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation, software, and hardware issues under operational conditions.
- Handle warranty cases for newbuild projects and provide remote and onboard support to shipowners and vessel crews.
- Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation such as functional descriptions, drawings, and interface documentation.
- Support class compliance, customer acceptance, and system handover activities.
- Act as a trusted technical interface toward customers, shipyards, and internal stakeholders.
