Job summary
Molgas Norway is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to act as the technical authority for all control and automation systems across the Bergen and Karmøy sites. You will drive standardization, lifecycle management, governance, and strategic development of DCS/SCADA/PLC/HMI platforms and related automation solutions.
The role reports to the Director of Production and Asset Integrity and requires collaboration with Operations, Engineering, IT providers, and major vendors like ABB, Emerson,
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Automation, Cybernetics or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with industrial control systems.
- Experience with multiple DCS/SCADA platforms.
- Strong OT networking and industrial cybersecurity knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical owner for all control and automation systems across Molgas Norway.
- Manage lifecycle of DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI and related software.
- Develop long-term roadmaps for system upgrades and modernization.
- Lead major control system modifications, upgrades and capital projects.
- Support FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning and start-up activities.
