Job summary

LondonEnergy is seeking a Head of Energy from Waste to lead a ~130‑strong team across operations, maintenance and technical functions at the Edmonton site. The role focuses on maximizing throughput, energy generation and safety while guiding a transition of the Energy Centre through its final operating years.

You will drive reliability, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, working closely with senior leadership and external partners to secure safe and efficient energy-from-waste

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a highly regulated industrial setting.
• Strong operational and asset management expertise for ageing assets.
• Experience leading organisational change and workforce transition.
• Experience working with recognised trade unions.
• Relevant industry experience in Energy from Waste or utilities.
• Solid knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations (NEBOSH or equivalent).
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant and reliable operations across the Energy from Waste facility.
• Provide strategic operational and maintenance leadership for efficiency.
• Lead asset management and maintenance strategy for asset longevity.
• Guide workforce capability and organisational transition during change.
• Build a high-performing, engaged workforce with safety at the core.
• Drive performance using safety, environmental and financial metrics.
• Represent the site with regulators, contractors and stakeholders.
