Ikm Gruppen AS is seeking an experienced instrumentation engineer in Bergen with offshore travel. You will design instrumentation tasks, estimate packages, and coordinate with suppliers while ensuring design integrity through discipline checks and inspections.

Join a team that handles onshore and offshore projects, conducts as-built updates, and trains new engineers. Coastal travel is required, with a 100% workload for a contract period from 04/01/2027 to 31/12/2027.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of offshore/onshore oil & gas project experience.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, field equipment and control systems.
• Experience with brownfield modifications and operating facilities.
• Familiarity with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys and ARIS.
• Certifications: Basic EX, FSE LV/HV with first aid, HUET Offshore, health certificate.
• Experience with tender prep, tie-back developments and metering is a plus.
• Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of instrumentation tasks and participate in technical studies.
• Estimate instrumentation tasks and prepare comprehensive job packages.
• Follow up with suppliers and take on package responsibility, including pre-test/FAT participation.
• Conduct discipline checks of design basis, including studies, drawings, and job packages.
• Participate in onshore and offshore inspections.
• Take on training responsibilities for new engineers and perform as-built updates.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware (or Technical College with extensive VEM experience).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, field equipment, and control systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and working operating facilities.
• Experience with industry standards and tools such as ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Required certifications: Basic EX course, FSE high/low voltage with first aid, Offshore certificate with HUET, and a valid health certificate.
• Experience with tender preparation, tie-back developments, and metering systems is an advantage.
• Language: Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken
• Location: Bergen (with offshore travel required)
• Work schedule: Full-time (100% workload)
