MDE Bergen is seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to lead instrumentation work on offshore and onshore oil & gas projects in Norway. The role focuses on detailed design, studies, and timely delivery of instrument packages, with hands-on follow-up of suppliers and inspections.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, and the ability to own engineering activities from study through to completion.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and work on operating facilities.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to take ownership of engineering activities and support project execution from study phase through completion.

Qualification Requirements

• Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in VEM.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and work on operating facilities.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to take ownership of engineering activities and support project execution from study phase through completion.
• Experience with preparation of tenders, tie-back developments, and metering systems is considered an advantage.
• Basic EX course.
• FSE high and low voltage with first aid.
• Offshore safety certificate including helicopter underwater escape training.
• Valid offshore medical certificate. Duration:04.01.2027-31.12.2027
