Job summary

Odfjell Technology seeks a Senior Innovation and Development Engineer to lead end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization. You will work with multinational teams to create innovative solutions and advance Well Services technology.

The role involves global collaboration, prototype testing, and active involvement in the full lifecycle of new products, with opportunities for international travel and professional growth in Stavanger or Aberdeen.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of product design experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in product development.
• Strong experience with CAD software is mandatory.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through manufacture and implementation.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and design requirements.
• Experience with product assembly, testing, and validation activities.
• FMEA, CFD, and FEA experience is desirable.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; mentoring others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development projects from concept through manufacturing and implementation.
• Plan and lead prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
• Conduct development studies, simulations, and technical analyses.
• Maintain and oversee technical documentation through project lifecycles.
• Ensure effective collaboration with global teams and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement across the value chain.
• Support product development across Well Services lines (TRS, WBC, R&A).
