Job summary

Nscale is seeking an Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to lead design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced data centre systems out of Glomfjord, Norway. The role focuses on large-scale infrastructure projects, SME-level guidance, and close collaboration with senior stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance GPU-enabled infrastructure.

You will drive operational standards, mentor the team, and engage with customers on critical projects, with travel to additional DCs as needed.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of data centre architecture, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery planning.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis expertise.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• 6+ years of experience with a focus on infrastructure design and management.
• Higher-level Advanced certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data centre systems.
• Lead large-scale infrastructure projects and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in high priority technical customer service scenarios.
• Define operational standards, policies, and best practices.
• Act as a SME in high-stakes technical scenarios and incidents.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the operations team.
• Conduct performance reviews and assist in strategic planning for future infrastructure needs.
• Engage directly with customers on key projects, escalations or service delivery improvements.
• Travel to additional DCs to manage deployments, assess operations and ensure alignment with Organisational objectives
