Job summary

No Isolation in Oslo is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (Golang) to help scale the AV1 platform. You will co-own core backend services, connecting robots, mobile apps and web clients across Europe, and help build high-performance, secure systems for live video, events, and data.

You’ll work with a small, autonomous team, collaborating with frontend/mobile, platform, and embedded groups while emphasizing observability, testing, and resilient design in a hybrid Oslo setup.

Qualifications

• Backend engineering experience with Go (Golang) and API design.
• Experience building distributed, real-time systems and services.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS or similar).
• Knowledge of data modeling, storage, and migrations across SQL/NoSQL.
• Familiarity with security, observability, and DevOps tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs and modules connecting robots, mobile apps, web clients, and cloud services.
• Choose and configure paradigms (WebRTC, gRPC, sockets, REST) for performance and cost.
• Model data, schemas, and migrations across relational and NoSQL stores.
• Build container-based, event-driven services and asynchronous pipelines.
• Collaborate on system design and runbooks; contribute to testing and quality.
