Job summary

Verto People, Ltd. seeks an experienced EHSQ Senior Manager to establish health, safety and quality standards for hyperscale data centre environments across the UK and Europe. This hands-on leader will define frameworks, audit contractors, investigate incidents and ensure consistent safety expectations on multiple sites.

You will own EHSQ strategy, develop inspection methodologies and collaborate with stakeholders to embed requirements across delivery activities, including future regional growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on EHS or quality management experience within construction or industrial projects.
• Experience on data centre projects or high-complexity builds.
• Willingness to travel to sites and engage with contractors.
• Experience creating or improving EHS standards and quality processes.
• Strong incident investigation and continuous improvement experience.
• Proactive, hands-on approach in a changing environment.
• NEBOSH qualification desirable.
• ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop EHS and quality standards, inspection processes and ITP methodologies.
• Carry out site audits and assess contractor safety and quality performance.
• Lead incident investigations and share lessons across projects.
• Embed health, safety and quality requirements into contractor and RFP processes.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain consistent standards.
• Support growth of the EHS function, including recruitment of regional managers.
• Maintain a practical, site-focused approach to issue resolution.
