Job summary

Verto People Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Center Design to lead the creation of design standards for next-generation AI infrastructure. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, civil and BIM disciplines with a hands-on leadership approach.

The role involves influencing consultants, EPCs and senior stakeholders while delivering high-density compute environment designs. This is a strategic leadership position offering executive exposure and technical ownership across multiple

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on design experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with high-density compute environments and GPU infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical, mechanical, civil and BIM design standards across live projects.
• Review and input on consultant and contractor design packages.
• Address power distribution, cooling strategies, and structural requirements for high-density compute environments.
• Participate in design workshops with EPCs and consultants.
• Define technical requirements and review supplier responses.
• Develop technical leadership across disciplines as the portfolio grows.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance while ensuring consistent delivery.
