Job description

Sensori Group is a Sisk Company that specialises in end-to-end project management, overseeing all phases of building development from design to construction, MEP systems integration, fit outs and facilities management. We ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with a focus on sustainability.

Our expertise spans multiple industries, including commercial, data centres, healthcare, and manufacturing, providing tailored solutions that prioritize efficiency, safety, and quality. With a strong focus on MEP systems and facilities management, Sensori Group offers innovative, cost-effective solutions backed by a skilled, responsive team.

Sensori is a fast-growing developer and operator focused on delivering high-quality, safe, and commercially successful construction projects. We value practical problem-solving, strong collaboration between design and delivery teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Senior EHS Advisor owns Sensori’s project-level EHS performance by translating corporate policy into practical site controls, verifying compliance through audits and inspections, and embedding a proactive safety culture. You will advise project leadership on risk, lead incident investigations, manage contractor EHS performance, and ensure statutory and client requirements are met across construction, commissioning and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and improve project EHS plans, procedures, RAMS and PSCS documentation to meet legislative, client and Sensori standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and administrative audits; document findings and drive immediate corrective and preventive actions until closure.
  • Lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews and method statement development; ensure controls are implemented and monitored.
  • Review and approve permits to work, LOTO and safe switching documentation for LV/MV/HV activities where applicable.
  • IncLead root‑cause investigations for accidents and near misses; produce clear reports and implement realistic corrective actions.
  • Review and approve subcontractor RAMS, monitor specialist contractor compliance, and enforce Sensori EHS expectations on site.
  • Coordinate EHS training records with the Training Department; deliver toolbox talks, inductions and targeted coaching to raise capability.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001 and relevant local regulations; keep Sensori practices current with regulatory changes.
  • Implement waste reduction, recycling and pollution‑prevention measures; monitor environmental performance and statutory inspections.
  • Prepare monthly EHS reports and project KPIs for SMT; present trends, risks and improvement plans.
  • Act as on‑site EHS point of contact for clients, certifying bodies and internal stakeholders; represent Sensori at site EHS forums.
  • Capture lessons learned, update procedures and lead initiatives that reduce incidents, rework and regulatory exposure.
  • Travel to project sites as required to perform audits, lead investigations and support delivery.
  • Third‑level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years site‑based EHS experience on construction, MEP, electrical or industrial projects; experience in data centre, pharmaceutical or power sectors is advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of current EHS legislation, COSHH, permit to work systems, and safe switching practices for LV/MV/HV environments.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent; ISO45001/ISO14001 lead auditor or practitioner qualifications are desirable.
  • Proven experience leading root‑cause investigations and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to present to senior management and influence contractors and project teams.
  • Competent with MS Office and EHS reporting systems; able to maintain accurate audit and training records.
  • Proactive, decisive, resilient and methodical with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
Deliverables and success measures
  • Deliverables — Project EHS plans, approved RAMS/PSCS, completed audit reports, incident investigation reports, training records, monthly KPI pack, and updated Safety File documentation.
  • KPIs — Reduction in LTIs and RIDDOR‑reportable incidents; audit closure time; percentage of corrective actions closed on time; compliance rate for statutory inspections and contractor RAMS.
  • Impact — Safer sites with fewer repeat incidents, auditable compliance at handover, and demonstrable environmental improvements (waste reduction, recycling rates).
  • Reports to the Head of EHS and works closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, QA/QC, Commissioning teams and subcontractors.
  • Role requires regular site travel and occasional extended site presence during critical phases (switching, energisation, commissioning).
  • Acts as Sensori’s visible EHS ambassador on projects, balancing enforcement with coaching to embed a "Right First Time" culture.
