What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and improve infrastructure and deployment systems across large, well-defined scopes — with a clear eye on reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Investigate and resolve complex, multi-layered infrastructure problems that span multiple components and environments.
• Lead architecture-level contributions to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, observability, and security posture.
• Proactively pay down high-complexity technical debt and design systems that prevent future issues from accumulating.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and security to align on requirements, evaluate solutions, and ensure cross-team technical coherence.
• Share knowledge openly — mentoring engineers on DevOps practices, tooling, and system thinking.
• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and process optimisation within the engineering team.

On a typical day, you will

You’ll start by collaborating across disciplines to evaluate trade-offs for a new scalable feature. By midday, you might be performing system-level debugging on a multi-layered problem affecting core components. Your afternoon is spent building the intelligent automations that eliminate manual busywork for the whole team. You wrap up by providing direct, caring feedback in a code review, ensuring we balance speed with maintainable patterns.

• Advanced Software and Infrastructure Development: You design and implement reliable, scalable infrastructure across large system areas, and improve existing patterns to strengthen long-term maintainability and performance.
• System‑Level Debugging: You investigate and resolve complex, multi-layered problems affecting multiple components. You use deep system understanding to guide troubleshooting and prevent recurrence.
• Architecture and Design Contribution: You evaluate and shape architectural decisions, identifying risks, trade-offs, and future implications — proposing solutions that support scalability, reliability, and performance at scale.
• Technical Debt Reduction: You pay down high‑complexity debt and design systems that avoid accumulating new issues. You lead technical clean‑up efforts that strengthen long-term system health.
• Collaboration and Cross‑Team Knowledge: You work effectively across disciplines to align on requirements and solution design, and you understand how changes in your domain ripple across the product.
• AI Fluency: You actively explore and adopt AI tools to improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of your engineering work — and you can distinguish where AI adds genuine leverage from where it doesn't.
