V7 Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading construction and data centre delivery specialist to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager for a major European project in Norway. The role covers cost and value management, contract administration, and financial reporting across a large-scale, technically complex build.

You will lead the commercial team, drive risk and change control, and provide mentorship while navigating a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotational model with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Significant senior commercial or quantity surveying experience in construction.
• Strong cost management, contract administration, change control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost and value management across the project.
• Maintain robust commercial systems, procedures and controls.
• Oversee financial reporting, forecasting and cashflow.
• Negotiate contract terms, bonds, warranties and guarantees.
• Manage change control, variations and entitlement recovery.
• Lead commercial risk and opportunity management with the operations team.
• Provide commercial guidance and mentor the wider project team.
• Oversee cost plans and commercial reporting.
• Analyse project costs to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure governance and company standards are maintained.
• Prepare long-term cashflow forecasts and commercial reports.

V7 Recruitment are working with a leading construction and data centre delivery specialist to recruit an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join their growing project delivery teams inVaasa, Finland andKristiansand, Norway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take a senior role on a large-scale, technically complex construction project in Europe. You will be responsible for the commercial delivery of the project, providing leadership across cost and value management, contract administration, financial reporting, risk and change control.

You’ll be joining a well-established, family-owned construction business with a global reach and a strong track record of delivering some of Europe’s most significant construction projects.

The Role

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a senior commercial or quantity surveying position within construction.
• Strong experience across cost management, contract administration, change control and commercial reporting.
• Experience managing commercial risk, variations and contractual entitlement.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontract management.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Data centre, mission-critical or other technically complex project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing commercial teams.
• Strong financial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.

Rotational / Relocation Model

The role offers a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, providing an attractive option for people who want to work internationally while maintaining regular time at home.

Alternatively, full relocation support is available for candidates who would prefer to relocate permanently. Partners are welcome to relocate, with shared accommodation and car hire arrangements available.
