Job summary

MDE Group seeks a senior Civil Planner to drive schedule, resource and cost control for major EPC projects. You will collect planning data from stakeholders, integrate subcontractor schedules, and maintain Level 4 and 5 schedules.

The role requires strong communication, independent work, and proven ability to manage interfaces between disciplines. Based in Oslo, Norway, the position offers permanent or project-based employment, international assignments, and a structured onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or commercial discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within project planning from EPC projects.
• Civil planning experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with Safran.
• Strong knowledge of schedule planning, resource planning and cost control.
• Experience establishing Level 4 and Level 5 schedules.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing and interfaces between disciplines.
• Experience in EPC, modification or field development projects within oil & gas.
• Experience planning civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan schedule, resource and cost control for the Civil scope.
• Collect and consolidate planning information from project stakeholders.
• Integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall project plan.
• Establish and maintain Level 4 and Level 5 schedules for the Civil scope.
• Lead project progress reviews and validate progress.
• Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Follow up scheduling in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Provide schedule analyses and decision-support information.
• Communicate potential scheduling issues to enable timely adjustments.
• Coordinate schedules with contractors and on-site activities.
• Support interfaces between Civil and other disciplines.
