Job summary

Enode is searching for a Senior Backend Engineer to make our EV platform more reliable, observable, and scalable. You will build and maintain API integrations with OEMs and energy partners, strengthening the connectivity layer that powers our platform.

You’ll work with TypeScript, Node, React, AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL, shaping technical direction and mentoring teammates, while owning end-to-end delivery and improving testing and observability.

Qualifications

• Experience writing maintainable, testable backend code for API/integration work.
• Experience with platform engineering and building connectivity layers.
• Ability to debug issues across services and improve observability.
• Clear communication and ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset and willingness to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain API integrations with OEMs and energy partners, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and well tested.
• Strengthen the connectivity platform by reducing incidents and improving observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Take on complex projects and drive them through to release, breaking them into actionable work.
• Help maintain code quality, testing, and observability beyond your own changes.
• Work with product and the team to align platform priorities and balance stability with delivery.
• Take ownership beyond your own work and share knowledge to keep the team aligned.
