Job summary

Photoncycle is building the backend for its next-generation energy platform. As a Product-Minded Software Engineer, you will design and implement core backend services in C#/.NET, handling telemetry, unit communication, health checks, and diagnostic data for deployed systems.

You’ll prototype, test, and ship features, while collaborating with control system engineers, operations, product stakeholders, and other developers to turn real-world needs into reliable software.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with C# and .NET.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend services for our core energy platform using C#/.NET.
• Build telemetry, command, health-check, and diagnostic workflows for deployed Photoncycle units.
• Model equipment state, configuration, and lifecycle for future platform capabilities.
• Design clear domain models, APIs, and data flows for operators, engineers, customers, and market services.
• Contribute to adjacent platform domains such as fleet operations, customer services, market capabilities, and business integrations.
• Collaborate with control system teams, operations, and product stakeholders to validate features in real-world use.
