Job summary

Jobgether is assisting a partner company in Norway to hire a Data Scientist (Time Series Forecasting) for a fully remote role. You will build and optimize forecasting models for weather, energy prices, and grid supply and demand, and deploy production‑ready code in a live energy trading platform.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, at least three years of relevant experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with agentic coding tools and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline.
• At least three years of relevant data science experience.
• Experience with time series forecasting methods and translating methods into production solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL for data analysis, model development, and production implementation; Go is a plus.
• Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools in daily development workflow.
• Excellent English communication in a remote, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine forecasting models for weather, energy prices, and grid supply/demand.
• Translate forecasting algorithms into robust, scalable production code for a live energy trading platform.
• Analyze datasets, identify patterns, and improve forecasting accuracy for data-driven trading decisions.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to align model development with business requirements.
• Integrate forecasting solutions with data pipelines and production environments.
