Job summary

Apex Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to support multi-market operations, leading regional accounting, ensuring GAAP compliance, and strengthening internal controls across the organization. You will manage financial reporting, month-end close, and regulatory reporting, mentor a professional accounting team, and partner with senior management to drive accurate forecasting and planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA license preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s a plus).
• Experience in multi-entity or platform environments strongly preferred.
• ERP experience (Sage Intacct or similar systems a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to lead processes and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and month-end close.
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal audit requirements to safeguard assets.
• Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis to identify discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and communicate insights to senior management.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff and foster development.
• Oversee regulatory reporting obligations, including tax filings.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
