Job summary

EuroTech in Alta, Norway seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee all financial operations, including AP/AR, budgeting, and reporting. The role demands a CPA, a minimum of five years of accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Immediate start is preferred with accommodation provided.

The candidate will monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and support tax planning while mentoring junior staff and ensuring timely financial statements.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certification required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or SAP).
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations including AP, AR, budgeting, and reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping: journal entries, reconciliations, audits.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts for operations.
• Collaborate with departments to develop budgets and analyze variances.
• Conduct regular audits to identify process improvements.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff for accuracy and efficiency.
