Job summary

Stendr, based in Oslo, Norway, seeks an embedded software engineer to design and implement the low‑level architecture for the VAKR sensor system. You will build the DSP pipeline and real-time components that process samples, synchronize with PCIe, and stay close to the hardware.

The role emphasizes fast, reliable code, edge-case handling, and rigorous validation in CI. Prior experience with Rust or C/C++ in constrained environments is required, along with familiarity with Linux and hardware

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Rust or C/C++.
• Experience in constrained environments with limited CPU, memory, or power.
• Understanding of memory, cache, threads behavior.

Responsibilities

• Implement the DSP pipeline from raw samples to detections.
• Develop the real-time part with threads, buffers, priorities and ensure no sample loss.
• Apply profiling, SIMD and fixed-point optimizations; CI-based validation.
• Work on hardware side: radio firmware, drivers, PCI Express, timing.
• Own quality: tests, benchmarks, golden files, releases.
