Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced procurement, contracting or commercial support professional for an opportunity supporting the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway.
Working within JWC's Purchasing & Contracting function, you will provide procurement, contract administration and financial support within a structured multinational Defence environment.
This could be particularly relevant to ex-military personnel with procurement, commercial, financial administration or contracting experience, as well as suitably experienced Defence and government professionals.
Please note: candidates are currently being sourced in support of a proposed supplier bid. Appointment is therefore subject to contract award.
The Role
Working under the direction of the designated Contracting Officer's Technical Representative, you'll support the administration of contracts and purchasing activity across JWC.

Working Arrangements
The requirement is expected to involve approximately 90–220 working days per year, depending on tasking, funding and contractual arrangements.
Normal working hours are:
Monday–Friday | 07:30–15:30
The position is primarily based on-site at the NATO Joint Warfare Centre in Jåttå, Stavanger.
Following appropriate on-the-job training, there may be scope to work remotely for up to one day per week.
Workspace and required IT equipment will be provided.
Travel
Limited business travel may be required, currently estimated at approximately 0–2 trips per year, normally lasting 3–5 days and primarily within NATO Europe.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Defence, military, government or procurement professional to apply their skills within a multinational NATO environment. At £500 per day, the assignment is expected to run throughout 2027, with potential extensions into 2028 and 2029.
