Job summary

Head Energy is seeking a Mechanical Technician/ Mechanic to install and retrofit components on rail vehicles. You will work from technical drawings and 3D models, install components like antennas and sensors, and support electricians with routing under the train.

The role requires reading English documentation and a mechanical qualification, with a focus on safety and quality. You will join a team delivering hands-on mechanical work in a rail/ heavy industry setting, with a chance for permanent

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical drawings and English documentation.
• Comfortable using digital tools and 3D models.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, installation, or maintenance.
• Experience from rail, automotive, heavy industry or similar environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install brackets, piping supports, and other mechanical components.
• Remove existing equipment from rail vehicles.
• Install new train components including antennas and speed sensors.
• Carry out mechanical modifications and retrofit activities on rolling stock.
• Assist electricians with routing systems and installation pathways under the train.
• Carry out drilling in aluminum car bodies and supporting structures.
• Use drawings, digital tools, and 3D models during installation.
• Complete quality and installation documentation with signed checklists.
• Provide technical support on site.
• Follow all HSE requirements and procedures.
