Balchem Human Nutrition and Health seeks a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products in a modern ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. You will work with HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC, and other approved methods to verify specifications.

You will investigate OOS/OOT results, maintain stability records, calibrate instruments, and participate in cross-functional teams driving site improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in analytical lab or process lab, preferably in industrial manufacturing, pharma, biotech, food, or chemical industries.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and wet chemistry; GC experience is a plus; chromatography software experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems (ISO 17025 or similar) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for investigating analytical issues, OOS, OOT, and non-conforming results.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify specifications.
• Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC, and other approved methods.
• Investigate OOS/OOT results and non-conforming data per approved procedures.
• Carry out stability testing and maintain stability study records.
• Record and review results in compliance with procedures and data integrity requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate QC instruments and participate in proficiency testing.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams and site development initiatives.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental requirements in daily lab operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
