Job summary

Amyris, Inc. seeks a QA/QC Laboratory Technician I for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. You will perform chemical and physical tests to ensure product quality, operate GC, titrators, refractometer, and viscometer, and report data with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a lab setting or an associate degree, are detail‑oriented, and can work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, while following GMP/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of lab technician experience
• Associate’s degree in chemistry or related field
• Knowledge of standard lab practices and chemical testing
• Ability to follow safety protocols in lab
• Willingness to work rotating 12‑hour shifts (nights/weekends/holidays)

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and final product testing on solid and liquid materials
• Set up and conduct chemical/physical analyses using GC, titrators, refractometer, viscometer
• Record, analyze, and report lab data with accuracy
• Support QC Manager and lab team with sample processing and data interpretation
• Inspect packaging materials and torque lids to spec using a torque wrench
• Maintain clean lab and ensure GMP/ISO 22716 compliance
